Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate </li><li>Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. </li><li>Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy </li><li>Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions. </li><li>Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed. </li><li>Professional Practice. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. </li></ul> <p>(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).</p> <p>Licensure/Certification</p> <ul> <li>Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. </li><li>New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program. </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <p>11am-7pm</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day</p> <p>Position Type</p> <p>Regular Full Time</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions.
