<p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Follow proper concession policies and procedures including opening and closing, product preparation, and cash handling </li><li>Operate cash register computers and point of sale operating system while following cash handling policies and procedures with credit card and cash transactions </li><li>Collect concession fees from patrons; record additional transactions as needed </li><li>Prepare food in a safe and clean manner and maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety with food preparation and storage, equipment, and dispensers in accordance with Health Department guidelines </li><li>Serve concessions in a safe and properly prepared manner </li><li>Perform start-up and take-down of concession related equipment </li><li>Sell daily admission into the pools </li><li>Sell summer swim passes to patrons </li><li>Inform and enforce rules of the facility </li><li>Monitor carry-ins from patrons </li><li>Sell and stock concession products </li><li>Receive deliveries of concession products </li><li>Complete necessary paperwork specific to job responsibilities </li><li>Assists Concessions Manager/Pool Manager with daily deposits </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of concession related areas (including but not limited to food preparation and ordering/ serving area, outside areas, utensils and equipment, and food storage) throughout the day as well as at the end of the shift </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Be at the facility, in uniform and ready to work, at the designated start of the work shift </li><li>Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationship with fellow staff members, management staff, and the public in a courteous and tactful manner </li><li>Attend all required staff meetings and trainings </li><li>Legibly and accurately calculate individual payroll. </li><li>Work closely with the Parks and Recreation Department staff to ensure all department and City of Appleton rules, policies, and procedures are observed and enforced </li><li>Report directly to and perform any other duties as assigned by Concessions Manager </li><li>Minimum of 15 years of age </li><li>Have experience and/or ability in working with money </li><li>Ability to make general arithmetic computations accurately and with reasonable speed </li><li>Ability and/ or experience to work with varied age groups, including children </li><li>Ability to take direction </li><li>Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions </li><li>Ability to work duration of program assigned by supervisor </li><li>Shall wear Parks and Recreation staff uniform per the City of Appleton dress code </li></ul> <p>Employment Season: Summer</p> <p>Work Location: Mead and Erb Pools</p> <p>Pay Grade: 2</p> <p>At least 15 years of age</p>
