<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Adult Education Teaching/Adult Education Coordinator</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/14/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Warren County Career Center</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>TBD</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>05/23/2025, until filled</p> <p>District:</p> <p>  Warren County Career Center  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION: Aspire Program Coordinator</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education or Designee</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time, 249 days, 8.0 hours per day</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, education related field is preferred </li><li>5+ years of Aspire/Adult Education experience preferred </li><li>Evidence of successful experience writing grants </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational and technology skills </li><li>Hold a valid Ohio Educator's permit or license, appropriate for assignment </li><li>Must pass a criminal background check </li><li>Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License </li></ul> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Aspire coordinator is responsible for conducting a program that reflects the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) requirements and standards and is aligned with the mission of the Warren County Career Center's Aspire program. He/she is responsible for carrying out the Aspire unique programmatic and fiscal assurances included in the Aspire grant.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates program to meet all Aspire indicators of program quality </li><li>Keeps up-to-date on changes due to state and federal legislation </li><li>Maintains Aspire budget per ODHE guidelines </li><li>Responsible for employee hiring recommendations, monitoring professional development, employee concerns, evaluations, scheduling and payroll reporting </li><li>Establishes class schedules and instructional sites </li><li>Attends agency, county, state and WCCC meetings </li><li>Schedules, plans, and leads local staff and advisory committee meetings </li><li>Plans and develops curriculum for Aspire, High School Equivalence (HSE), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) </li><li>Responsible for purchasing instructional materials, textbooks, software, office supplies, classroom furniture, etc. </li><li>Responsible for grant writing </li><li>Provides all documentation, budget reports and paperwork to ODHE in a timely manner </li></ul> <p>Aspire Coordinator</p> <ul> <li>Provides necessary statistical/program information to both ODHE and WCCC </li><li>Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information </li><li>Oversees program recruiting and retention efforts </li><li>Completes yearly Aspire Professional Development requirements </li></ul> <p>Questions?</p> <p>Please contact: Kevin Gale, Assistant Superintendent</p> <p>Phone: 513-932-5677, ext. 5238</p> <p>Email: kevin.gale@mywccc.org</p>
