<p>Who We Are:</p> <p>The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Preschool Teacher/Preschool Intervention Specialist at Clark Early Learning Center for the 2025-2026 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. Clark Early Learning Center is a 5-Star rated preschool that serves rougly 350 students, ages three through five. We are Wildcats!</p> <p>As a Teacher you are required to:</p> <ul> <li>Have current dual licensure issued by the Ohio Department of Education with certification to teach Preschool students in an integrated classroom (50% of students are general education students and 50% are students with special needs.) </li><li>Be in possession of or in the process of applying for The Reading Endorsement or have passed Praxis 5203 (Teaching Reading: Elementary Education). </li><li>Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions </li><li>Be willing to serve on teams that require constant collaboration </li><li>Have the ability to relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds </li><li>Have the ability to teach students with special needs and English Language Learners </li><li>Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role </li></ul> <p>As a Teacher you will:</p> <ul> <li>Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, and provide individualized and small group instruction to meet the needs of each student in your classroom. </li><li>Manage an organized and professional classroom that is conducive to learning and the development of the whole child. </li><li>Foster a cooperative and respectful partnership with families and encourage parent involvement through classroom observations and volunteer opportunities. </li><li>Actively engage with at-risk students in the learning process; planning and using appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of ALL students including those with special needs and English Language Learners. </li><li>Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group and offer support and flexibility as needed. </li><li>Work as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators to carry out the goals of our District. </li><li>Utilize technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process. </li><li>Implement High Scope curriculum and Conscious Discipline practices with fidelity. </li><li>Capture data using a wide range of tools, analyze that data, and use it to drive differentiated instruction to meet the needs of individual students. </li><li>Support and remain patient with preschool students as they learn social-emotional skills. </li><li>Participate in professional development activities that are aligned with district and building goals, assigned subject content and the varied needs of students. </li><li>Remain flexible, willing to compromise, and maintain a solution-focused mindset at all times. </li><li>Be enthusiastic about your work and spread joy to your students, colleagues, and families whenever possible. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <p>As a contracted employee, Teachers work 183 days per year and 7.25 hours per day.</p> <p>Starting salary is $43,816.00 with increases for additional education and experience.</p> <p>Contracted employees receive competitive benefits.</p> <p>All employees receive professional development</p> <p>Salary details available below in the Springfield Education Association (SEA) negotitated agreement:</p> <p>Springfield Education Association (SEA)</p> <ul> <li>Special Note: $1,600.00 Annual Longevity Bonus awarded to the successful candidate!!! </li></ul>
