Among those programs are courses in subject areas which prepare students for occupations and careers in fields which support and are adjunct to health care. These subject areas include such fields as: Nursing and Allied Health Programs. The programs include both academic and clinical instruction.</p> <p>The Clinical Coordinator directs the clinical practice portion of courses in one of such allied health fields at a Community College. The incumbent's work includes both clinical program administration and teaching of students in the clinical setting, laboratory, and simulation lab settings.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Allied Health Program Director or other administrator, the Clinical Coordinator of Nursing is accountable for contributing to useful practicum for assigned students through effective performance in these essential duties:</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Clinical practicum administration.</p> </li><li> <p>Accountable for administering the clinical practicum for assigned students in Nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>Clinical Instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Accountable for contributing to the quality of student clinical instruction.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies </li><li>Service on assigned committees and task forces </li><li>Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings which may occur during evenings and weekends. </li></ul> <p>This posting outlines qualifications, experience, and skills but is not limited to the full specifications in the official job description.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in Nursing or a field related with one (1) or more years of experience in a related field; or a combination of education, training and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position's essential duties.</p> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Professional competence in Nursing. </li><li>Must hold a current CT license in Nursing. </li><li>Clinical instruction and course design, including simulation. </li><li>Methods of testing and assessing student performance in clinical settings. </li><li>Comprehensive familiarity with accreditation requirements in assigned disciplines. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years or more years of acute care medical-surgical Nursing practice. </li><li>One (1) year of simulation experience </li><li>Experience working in higher education </li><li>One (1) or more years teaching in a nursing program. </li><li>Two (2) or more years of teaching Clinical Nursing </li></ul> <p>Salary and Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Salary range; $74,604 to $79,609 approximate annual </li><li>Salary is based on qualifications, education, job-related experience, and internal equity </li></ul> <p>CT State offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:</p> <ul> <li>Generous leave policies </li><li>Multiple retirement plan options </li><li>Comprehensive health insurance choices </li><li>Supplemental benefits for retirement and family protection </li><li>Tuition reimbursement (if applicable) </li></ul> <p>For more information, visit: CSCU - Human Resources - Future Employees.</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>To apply, submit:</p> <ul> <li>A cover letter </li><li>A resume </li></ul> <p>The cover letter may be entered as text in the corresponding box, or it can be uploaded as a combined file with the resume.</p> <p>Important Notes:</p> <ul> <li>Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered </li><li>Links to external resume sites are not accepted </li><li>Apply online at: www.ct.edu/hr/jobs </li><li>CT State Community College cannot sponsor work visas </li><li>Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States </li></ul> <p>Selection Process</p> <p>After the closing date, applications will be reviewed by a selection committee.
