<p>Waste Connections of Arkansas is looking for an Heavy Equipment Operator / Class A Licensed Driver to join our team at the landfill in Cherokee Village, AR. In this position, you'll operate heavy equipment, move dirt and haul leachate</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing:</p> <p>You'll play a key role in keeping our landfill running smoothly, safely, and efficiently:</p> <ul> <li>Safely operating heavy equipment like trackhoes, compactors, off-road dump trucks, and tractors </li><li>Acting as a spotter to help trucks move in and out safely </li><li>Keeping the worksite clean and clear of hazards </li><li>Pulling and compacting trash to keep things organized </li><li>Hauling dirt materials, and leachate as needed </li><li>Performing daily safety checks and basic maintenance on your equipment (oil, tires, fluids) </li><li>Always watching out for your team and working with a safety-first mindset </li><li>Pitching in on other site duties as needed </li></ul> <p>This is a physically demanding position and does require working in all weather conditions.</p> <p>Schedule & Pay:</p> <ul> <li>Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays </li><li>6:00 AM - 5:30 PM </li><li>$19 - $21/hour, depending on experience </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Class A CDL Required, Tanker endorsement (will help get it if you do not have it) </li><li>Experience with Dozers, Trackhoes, or other heavy equipment </li><li>A strong focus on safety </li><li>Clean driving record </li><li>Comfortable using basic computer tools (Word, Excel) </li></ul> <p>Why Work With Us?</p> <ul> <li>Stable, year-round work </li><li>Safety-first culture </li><li>Annual boot allowance </li><li>Medical, Dental & Vision benefits </li><li>401(K) with up to 5% company match </li></ul> <p>Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
