<p>POSITION: Housekeeper</p> <p>SALARY: $15/hour</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities</p> <p>JOB PURPOSE: The Housekeeper maintains cleanliness and orderliness in college buildings, including dormitories, classrooms, administrative offices, and common areas. The Housekeeper is crucial in maintaining a healthy and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Respond promptly to housekeeping requests or concerns. </li><li>Spot cleans offices, dorm rooms, suites, and bathrooms, including showers. </li><li>Vacuum common areas and classrooms, clean windows, dust, and mop all tile and entrance areas, and frequently clean spills and overflows. </li><li>Monitors and cleans all high-traffic areas and entrances. </li><li>Performs detailed cleaning of rooms and spaces when students move out at the end of the semester. </li><li>Prepares rooms for incoming and outgoing summer camp participants. </li><li>Waxes and buffs floors in non-carpeted areas as needed. </li><li>Removes and empties garbage and waste paper bins, placing them in designated areas for pickup by Grounds staff </li><li>Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the Director of Facilities. </li><li>Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor. </li><li>Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other consumables in restrooms and common areas. </li></ul> <p>About our ideal candidate</p> <p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. </li><li>Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. </li><li>Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. </li><li>Maintain OSHA compliance when using cleaning chemicals and equipment. </li><li>Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures. </li><li>Must wear and provide own safety shoes for use on the job </li><li>Adhere to the College's policies and procedures regarding housekeeping and facilities maintenance. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Experience, Competencies, and Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
