Apply now to see where your career at CHOC can take you.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining and maximizing the effective use of the Payroll systems. Evaluates system functionality, identifies gaps, and makes recommendations for enhanced solutions. This role assesses, develops, and configures the Payroll systems, and documents efficient Payroll processes ensuring greater ROI on Payroll systems.</p> <p>Produces standard and ad hoc reports as well as creating and maintaining dashboards for Payroll and the organization. Train users to the use of the Payroll and Timekeeping systems. Collaborate with teams from HR and Finance/Accounting to understand and support applications and processes as they relate to Payroll.</p> <p>Monitors and ensures data integrity using audit tools and alerts. Works closely with Payroll and HRIS teams, and helps maintain Payroll and timekeeping systems, troubleshooting system issues, evaluating and developing processes and internal controls for better efficiency and effectiveness for the departments. Strong knowledge of integrations, Payroll business processes and workflows. Will analyze updates with new tax laws to ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations as well as support internal audits of payroll processes and records. A large part of the role will be project based and would require strong project management skills and communication.</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum $30.94 Midpoint $40.99 Maximum $51.05</p> <p>Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.</p> <p>Shift Information</p> <p>This position is hybrid; primarily remote with some occasional expectation to be onsite. The shift will be Monday through Friday, typically 0830 - 1700 Pacific Time.</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Required: Minimum (4) years working experience supporting payroll systems. </li><li>Preferred: Proficient knowledge and understanding of payroll processing procedures and time and attendance systems, supporting Workday, Kronos Dimensions, previous experience in healthcare/hospital organizations. Proficient understanding of wage and hour and multi-state tax laws </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Required: Bachelor's Degree; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of education </li><li>Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Certified Payroll Professional Certification </li></ul> <p>Training</p> <ul> <li>Required: </li><li>Preferred: Workday Pro Certification and/or Kronos UKG payroll Certification </li></ul> <p>Specialized Skills</p> <ul> <li>Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced MS Excel skills. Experience developing and generating reports, analytics, and dashboards. Ability to develop and frame analytical findings in a clear and meaningful way. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously managing multiple projects. Able to think critically, work independently, and problem-solve. Extensive experience in payroll system implementation on large-scale Finance/Payroll/HR projects. Experience with at least one successful ERP implementation from start to finish. Strong knowledge of integrations, Payroll Business Processes and Workflows Excellent communication, customer service and organization skills. Problem solving/analytic thinking, results orientation & team focus. Strong project management skills. Strong analytical and evaluation skills. Ability to manage sensitive & confidential situations and information. </li><li>Preferred: Experience in UKG Kronos Dimensions and/or Workday. </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Required: None required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environments - Functional Demand:</p> <p>Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead.
