We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our Inside Machinist Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Inside Machinist is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Setup and machining of components on manual and CNClathes, mills, Horizontal Boring machines, multi axis machining centers, wire EDM etc. </li><li>Precision measurement of part dimensions. </li><li>Completion of hardcopy and electronic documentation. </li><li>Work with little to no supervisory experience. </li></ul> <p>You must be able to work and train on all shifts</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical detail drawings, including GD&T, G&M codes and weld joint symboling </li><li>Proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools </li><li>Computer literacy </li><li>Proficiency in shop mathematics </li><li>Must be detail and goal oriented </li><li>Always practice a "Safety First" mentality. </li><li>Must be able to use hand tools and portable power tools. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have a High School Diploma or GED or 2+ years related technical experience</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience with CNC Machining, set-up, Programming, or Operating Machines</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work all shifts</p> </li><li> <p>Must know how to read blueprints</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Technical School education </li><li>Successful completion of the Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative Training Program </li></ul>
