This senior executive role will be responsible for ensuring that DOP's IT infrastructure, applications, and services effectively support public safety, operational efficiency, and equitable service delivery across a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees.</p> <p>The Deputy Commissioner of IT will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the agency's IT strategies, working closely with executive leadership, agency stakeholders, and citywide IT partners to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with DOP's mission and citywide IT standards. A Master's degree in a relevant field is highly preferred. Experience: o At least 10 years of progressively responsible IT management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a large IT department in a government, public safety, or public sector environment. o Demonstrated experience leading complex IT initiatives, including network infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and service management in a mission-critical environment. o Proven success in managing large-scale projects and interagency collaborations, particularly in the context of public safety or government technology services. Certifications: o CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or equivalent security certifications required. o Additional certifications in IT project management (e.g., PMP), cloud technologies, or ITIL are highly desirable.
