<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>The University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine Department Otolaryngology</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This is a full-time NIH-funded research position available in the Baker Lab at the Bond Life Sciences Center, University of Missouri-Columbia. The primary objective of this position is to study the resolution of salivary gland inflammation, mechanisms of salivary gland fibrosis and tissue regeneration using mouse and cell culture models.</p> <p>Some of the responsibilities include the following:</p> <p>a) maintain and manage animal colonies</p> <p>b) conduct experiments utilizing mouse and cell culture</p> <p>c) perform confocal microscopy, western blotting, and flow cytometry</p> <p>d) ordering laboratory supplies</p> <p>e) assisting with the writing of methods for papers and grant applications.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Enter Shift Type Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.</p> <p>(Clinical) Office/Administrative Hours: No - Position will not have Office/Admin Hours</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.</p> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Salary Range: $13.75 - $24.59</p> <p>Grade: GGS - 005</p> <p>University Title: RESEARCH/LAB TECHNICIAN II</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>In addition to filling out the online application please provide a resume and a cover letter.</p> <p>Benefit Eligibility</p> <p>This position is eligible for University benefits.
