<p>The Imaging Clerk is responsible for providing customer service to all patients, physicians and visitors as well as provide clerical duties for the Imaging Department.</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Meets and Greets all patients/customers in a courteous manner and answers any questions. </li><li>Answers all incoming calls in a timely manner. Schedules outpatient exams within the scheduling module. </li><li>Verifies that all information on exam requests are correct and matches the physicians order. </li><li>Notify appropriate modality of patient's arrival. </li><li>Transports patients as needed. </li><li>Charts exam reports on all nursing and ancillary units. </li><li>Ensures that the waiting area is kept neat and orderly at all times. </li><li>Files master film jackets properly and promptly. </li><li>Checks films in and out following policies and procedures. </li><li>Follows up on films that have not been returned in a timely manner. </li><li>Delivers reports to the emergency room from the radiologist. </li><li>Burns CD's for patient that are being referred to another physician. </li><li>Collects all incoming DC discs and sends them to be downloaded into our PAC's system. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Previous experience in a health care setting preferred </li></ul>
