<p>World Acceptance Corporation is excited to host a Law Clerk Intern for the Summer of 2026. The program will begin in late May and will last 10-12 weeks. This program will be designed to give interns an opportunity to learn and grow while being assigned meaningful work. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a large billion-dollar organization and further understanding of multiple legal and business functions.</p> <p>The Law Clerk Intern will have the opportunity to build relationships across the organization and gain a broad understanding of legal issues from within the business and the financial services industry.</p> <p>Assignments for this Internship may include:</p> <ul> <li>Work within the legal department under the supervision of corporate attorneys on various legal matters. </li><li>Conduct legal research, document review, assisting with development, review and organization of corporate policy and procedures, maintaining files, preparing legal analysis and memorandum, and other legal matters. </li><li>Collaborate with department executives to ensure the completion of various company-wide projects. </li><li>Work with business leaders to identify areas of improvement and conduct research to support initiatives </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Must be currently enrolled in law school </li><li>Housing/Relocation is not being offered (only local candidates will be considered). </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position. </li><li>The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. </li><li>Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Office environment. </li></ul> <p>This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; and nothing herein restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p> <p>It is the policy of World Acceptance Corporation to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
