<p>DISTRICT OVERVIEW</p> <p>Holyoke Public Schools is a PreK-12 public school district serving nearly 5,100 students, of whom 80 percent are Latino/Latina, in 11 schools. We employ nearly 1,300 people who together educate and support a richly diverse community of learners. This position involves working closely with students, facilitating small-group instruction, and delivering individualized interventions when necessary. Bilingual staff may have the opportunity to receive additional compensation for assisting families.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide academic and language support to students in the ESL/SLIFE program. </li><li>Assist English Learners in inclusion classrooms. </li><li>Work with students on class assignments in small-group settings. </li><li>Deliver one-on-one interventions as needed. </li><li>Support families if bilingual, with potential for additional pay. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree, 48 college credits, or completion of the WorkKeys assessment. </li><li>Proficiency in English. </li><li>Experience working with children, particularly English Language Learners. </li><li>Multilingual abilities. </li></ul>
