Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p> <p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>As an Advanced Systems Administration Specialist & DevOps Administrator, youll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties will include maintaining and advancing DevOps infrastructures which are used by numerous Programs at GDMS. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications. Youll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. You will also perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers performance using monitoring tools.</p> <p>What youll experience:</p> <ul> <li>Technologies that arent just top-notch, theyre often top-secret </li><li>A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring whats next </li><li>Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as its discovered </li></ul> <p>What you bring to our team:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of RedHat Linux, Windows Server, VMware vSphere, application environments and related technologies. </li><li>Knowledge and experience managing network equipment (Cisco and Palo Alto) a plus </li><li>Proficient knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting. </li><li>Proficient with developer tools/concepts/scripting/methodologies/infrastructure - Jira, Confluence, GitLab, CI/CD, HELM, Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Kubernetes Manifests, Ansible, Vault, Python, Powershell, Bash. </li><li>Proficient with Tenable Nessus, Splunk. </li><li>Define and build different development, testing, and production environments. </li><li>An ability to architect, deploy and continuously maintain secure, reliable and flexible best practice infrastructures and systems. </li><li>Experience with implementing Linux/Windows security controls to maintain system compliance. </li><li>Subject Matter Expert in researching and troubleshooting complex technical issues. </li></ul> <p>What sets you apart:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with compliance controls: STIGs/CIS Benchmarks, NIST SP 800-171/800-53, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), System Security Plans. </li><li>Ability to engineer with system security as number one priority. </li><li>Ability to quickly grasp and adopt new technologies while continuously developing yourself. </li><li>Handle all levels of support with ability to collaborate and communicate with those of varying levels of technical skill. </li><li>Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and strong motivational skills. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills from a variety of viewpoints. </li></ul> <p>What else you should know:</p> <ul> <li>Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
