This is an individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and ownership of validation strategy across multiple programs.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Own and drive signal integrity validation strategy, execution, and methodologies across multiple platforms and programs </li><li>Lead end-to-end electrical validation and characterization for high- and low-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, SPI, JTAG, I3C, I2C) </li><li>Define and standardize validation practices, including compliance, margining, correlation to simulation, and debug workflows </li><li>Partner with architecture, hardware, and SI/PI design teams to influence design decisions and enable first-pass success </li><li>Architect and scale lab infrastructure, including advanced measurement setups, automation frameworks, and data analysis pipelines </li><li>Lead complex system bring-up and deep debug, driving root cause analysis across silicon, package, board, and system levels </li><li>Drive interoperability validation across components and external vendors to ensure ecosystem readiness </li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship; elevate validation methodologies and execution standards across teams </li><li>Communicate validation status, risks, and technical insights to senior leadership and program management </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field </li><li>8+ years of experience in high-speed I/O validation at silicon, package, or system/board level </li><li>Strong fundamentals in signal integrity, power integrity, and system-level debug methodologies </li><li>Hands-on experience with high-speed lab instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, BERTs, VNAs, TDR) </li><li>Experience with validation of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, or Ethernet </li><li>Proven ability to drive validation execution, debug complex issues, and deliver against program schedules </li><li>Experience with test automation and data analysis (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar) </li><li>Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline </li><li>10+ years of experience with demonstrated impact at Staff / Senior Staff level </li><li>Experience owning validation strategy across multiple programs or platforms </li><li>Deep expertise in high-speed SerDes architectures, including CTLE, DFE, FFE/de-emphasis, clocking, and jitter analysis </li><li>Experience correlating lab measurements with simulation (e.g., channel modeling, IBIS-AMI) </li><li>Track record of defining or scaling validation methodologies adopted across teams or organizations </li><li>Experience leading large or complex validation efforts with broad organizational impact </li><li>Familiarity with industry standards and compliance bodies (e.g., PCI-SIG, JEDEC, IEEE) </li><li>Passion for engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
