Visit us here to find out more about A&M's Financial Services Industry group.</p> <p>You are:</p> <p>A strategic thinker and senior advisor with deep experience in Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI), including Exchanges, Clearing Houses, Depositories, Market Data, and Service Providers. You bring a consulting toolkit sharpened at a top-tier firm (MBB or Big 4 Strategy) and have worked closely with C-suites to solve high-stakes challenges across trading, operations, technology, and risk.</p> <p>You are energized by the opportunity to shape the future of capital markets - helping organizations adapt to disruption, rethink their business models, and accelerate transformation. You're ready to build - lasting client relationships, impactful teams, and differentiated go-to-market propositions - all within an agile, entrepreneurial platform.</p> <p>The work:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and win new business, partnering with Managing Directors and firm leadership to develop go-to-market strategies, shape proposals, and cultivate senior client relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Own end-to-end delivery of complex client engagements - from defining strategic direction to executing transformation - ensuring delivery excellence across teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Shape content and structure thinking, directly or through guiding consulting teams, bringing frameworks, analytical depth, and market insights to the table.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, helping clients navigate disruption, modernize operations, deploy new technologies, and drive long-term growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive thought leadership and innovation, staying ahead of macro Financial Markets Infrastructure trends (e.g., real-time settlement, digital assets, interoperability, regulatory change, AI) and translating insight into client impact.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify whitespace opportunities to build new offerings and capabilities aligned to market needs and client demand.</p> </li><li> <p>Coach and develop consulting talent, sharing expertise and fostering a high-performing, intellectually rigorous team culture.</p> </li></ul> <p>Here's what you need:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 12+ years of experience in strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte), or a mix of consulting and industry roles supporting FMI's or Asset/Wealth Management firms.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong background in one or more of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Business Model and Growth Strategy</p> </li><li> <p>Cost and Operational Efficiency Programs</p> </li><li> <p>M&A Strategy, Diligence, and Integration</p> </li><li> <p>Revenue Optimization and Pricing Strategy</p> </li><li> <p>Data & Platform Modernization</p> </li><li> <p>Risk, Controls, and Operating Model Design</p> </li><li> <p>Innovation, Digital, AI, and Analytics Enablement</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to build client relationships and originate and lead transformational work.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong executive presence, confident engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating strategic conversations.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a track record of shaping and delivering solutions to complex challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degrees welcome.</p> </li></ul> <p>Ideal for strategy consultants who are:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Seeking a senior seat at the table - with the chance to shape the firm's FMI proposition and scale a business.</p> </li><li> <p>Looking for a platform that values entrepreneurial drive, autonomy, and client impact over hierarchy.</p> </li><li> <p>Energized by macro disruption in global markets and eager to lead clients through change with strategy, technology, and innovation at the core.</p> </li></ul> <p>Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.</p> <p>The salary range is $175,000 - $275,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.</p> <p>Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal.
