<p>School Psychologist JobID: 1858</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Special Services/School Psychologist</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/17/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>School Psychologist</p> <p>Essential Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement. </li><li>Must have demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, community members, and students to maintain and strengthen sound human relations for the improvement of the school program. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural, diverse community. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a case manager and consult with school personnel, parents and outside agencies regarding student need and progress as needed. </li><li>Lead development of Individualized Education Plans (I.E.P.s) and maintain compliance with N.J.A.C. 6A:14. </li><li>Complete comprehensive psychological evaluations, including using the use of cognitive, socio-emotional, and behavioral assessments for use in eligibility determination and program planning. </li><li>Serve as a contributing member of the Child Study Team (C.S.T.) and participate in all C.S.T. meetings and requirements as per N.J.A.C. 6A:14. </li><li>Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans. </li><li>Conduct observation, interviews, and collect data for use in Manifestation Determinations. </li><li>Provide individual and group counseling, as well as treatment planning for students. </li><li>Provide crisis response and intervention, crisis counseling, and risk assessments as needed. </li><li>Observe referred and classified students in the classroom and other school settings. </li><li>Serve as liaison between the school district and child and/or family agencies in terms of school placements for students outside the district. </li><li>Refer cases to the appropriate community and outside agencies as is needed. </li><li>Participate in home visits and TPC meetings for early intervention referrals. </li><li>Proficiency with IEP database software preferred. </li><li>Maintain all records and data in a manner consistent with N.J.A.C.6A:14. </li><li>Perform all aspects of the position in accordance with New Jersey Administrative Code and policies of the Board of Education. </li><li>Assist the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct. </li><li>Fulfill all pertinent responsibilities required by local, state, and federal authorities. </li><li>Strive to improve professional competence. </li><li>Participate in in-service programs as directed. </li><li>Implement the professional improvement plans as specified in the observation and/or evaluation reports. </li><li>Perform, as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee, additional or alternate duties which are within the scope of employment and certification. </li></ul> <p>Salary: Pursuant to TTEA Salary Guide.
