There is something for everyone in this culturally diverse city.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Maintains responsibility for day-to-day clinical oversight of Welcome Baby staff. Supervises Team Supervisors and Registered Nurses and ensures team members are properly trained and receive reflective supervision. Provides overall accountability for the program. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in public health, early childhood development, social work or psychology, or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required </li><li>Master's Degree in public health, early child development, social work or psychology: Preferred </li><li>Five years' experience working in maternal and child home visitation: Preferred </li><li>Two years' experience providing reflective supervision: Preferred </li><li>Experience providing client-centered services and continuous assessment of staff skills to identify areas that need special attention: Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Complete Welcome Baby training for supervisor within one year of hire: Required </li><li>Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Developmental Psychologist, Registered Nurse or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist or will complete licensure within six months: Preferred </li><li>Certified Lactation Educator (CLE) or Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) at a minimum; or certification must be completed within six months of hire; alternately staff may be Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC/RLC): Required </li><li>Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Registered Nurse (RN) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Psychologist (PSYCH): Required </li></ul> <p>Facility Specific License/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Supports and trains staff on identifying client strengths, needs, barriers and risks, and identifies community resources for families in need. Provides reflective supervision for individual staff on a weekly basis, and a biweekly group basis, for all home visitation staff. Ensures staff receives one-hour of individual reflective supervision per week (4 per month) and four hours of group reflective supervision per month (two 2-hour sessions). Provides day-to-day technical leadership while performing escalated or complex duties. </li><li>Works closely with management to implement documentation, training, procedures/policies and protocols. Ensures quality of the program by overseeing services provided through periodic shadowing of home visits and conducting regular chart reviews. Assigns cases, tracks enrollment and monitors visits to Parent Coaches and Welcome Baby Nurses in a timely manner. Uses independent judgment requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors. Collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach. </li><li>Forecasts upcoming visits in order and in a fair and equitable manner. Works closely with staff conducting outreach. Provides consultation to all program staff on high risk clinical issues such as mental illness, developmental delays, child abuse and family violence, ensuring that needed support and follow-up is provided. Participates in periodic Peer-to-Peer workshops, webinars and conference calls and Welcome Baby and Home Visitation regional meetings. </li><li>Conducts ongoing team building activities to enhance employee relations and teamwork. Mentors and assists with ongoing training of employees to ensure they are modeling empathy and providing holistic and strength-based services. Explores and identifies new referrals and resources for clients. Provides day-to-day technical oversight to staff; may become actively involved to meet schedules and resolve problems. Maintains responsibility for adherence to budget for specific projects. </li><li>Assists and provides ongoing staff development related to the issues and needs of clients such as maternal and infant health, breastfeeding, parenting, attachment, home safety, family planning and child development.
