<p>TERM: Summer/Fall 2026 (Part-Time During Semester, Full-Time in Summer)</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Work closely with electrical and software engineers to support the development, validation, and improvement of commercial foodservice equipment. Contribute to firmware development, product testing, and data-driven analysis, while gaining hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the design, development, and validation of new and existing products. </li><li>Support firmware development, debugging, and basic feature implementation. </li><li>Develop and execute test plans, including thermal, electrical, and functional validation. </li><li>Set up test equipment and perform data acquisition using standard lab instrumentation. </li><li>Assemble, modify, and prototype electrical and mechanical systems. </li><li>Analyze test data, document results, and present findings to engineering team members. </li><li>Identify issues and recommend design or process improvements based on test results. </li><li>Maintain organized documentation of test procedures and results. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Basic experience with electronic diagnostics, test equipment, and mechanical/electrical assembly preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods is a plus. </li><li>Exposure to embedded systems, firmware development, or programming (C/C++ or similar) is desirable. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 2nd-year standing (or equivalent coursework completed). </li></ul> <p>WORK AVAILABILITY:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer 2025. </li><li>Part-time (12-20 hours/week) during the academic year; flexible scheduling available. </li></ul>
