Residence Life supports the University through the operations, staffing, and programming of on-campus housing that accommodates approximately 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students. The department also includes the campus Wellness office, which provides programming, case management, and general wellness support to all campus students and employees. Overall, the department supports University recruitment and retention for students and employees through the management of a comprehensive housing program.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>General Office Management: staff the Residence Life Office during business hours; respond to inquiries, prepare communication campaigns; maintain calendars/schedules for departmental staff and the Residence Life operational cycle; schedule meetings; input/edit/audit/correct data in the StarRez database, insuring information correctly corresponds to Workday and Transact systems; prepare materials and coordinate processes for housing applications/assignments; coordinate with vendors and IT Services for system/service functionality in residential spaces and staff offices</p> </li><li> <p>Planning and Management of Departmental Functions: maintain/interpret records for department staff; prepare student/parent communications; coordinate staff to provide support for University functions, as needed; manage all centralized aspects of annual events and functions, including move-in and move-out, room consolidations and changes, fire drills, key audits, room condition documentation, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Student Staff Supervision and Training: recruit, train, and supervise student office assistants each semester; monitor student staff performance and provide feedback for professional development; create office work schedules/approve shift changes, create and present trainings to Resident Assistant staff regarding departmental operations/procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Departmental Finance and Accounting Management: Track and document student housing deposits; manage billing for housing and meal plans; train staff on protocols for procedural/damage billing; coordinate departmental purchases</p> </li><li> <p>Participation in University-wide, Divisional, and Departmental Activities: contribute to marketing/communication strategies; make recommendations to dining services/contract manager regarding meal plan use/demand; collaborate with staff from other departments, as needed; serve on University committees; attend/co-facilitate/present at department and division retreats</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience Only: Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.</p> </li><li> <p>OR-</p> </li><li> <p>Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years.
