<p>To provide instructional guidance and support to teachers and students in mathematics in a learning environment that will enable students to master the mathematical concepts and skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to teachers through classroom modeling and coaching of best practices using a research based approach </li><li>Support teachers in administering assessments and analyzing data to determine the math abilities of all students and develop an appropriate instructional plan </li><li>Assist teachers in planning tiered math interventions for at-risk students </li><li>Recommend use of varied math instructional materials and strategies </li><li>Create thoughtful assessments, interpret test results, and provide statistical data to inform instruction </li><li>Create and coordinate a district math assessment program with an administration schedule </li><li>Facilitate/assist in professional development offerings for staff in the math content area </li><li>Provide support and coaching to new teachers in the area of math </li><li>Share the district's math curriculum alignment and model lessons to support the implementation of a MA Frameworks based approach to mathematics </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned by building principal or the Director of Instructional Services </li></ul> <p>Reports to Building Principal and Director of Instructional Services; may be responsible for multiple buildings.</p>
