<p>The mission of Gaston County Emergency Medical Services (GEMS) is to preserve and enhance the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Gaston County by providing superior quality Emergency Medical Service.</p> <p>An hourly salary range of $15.48 to $17.99 is anticipated for this position.The duties listed below are not all of the duties that may be assigned but are those that are considered as essential for an employee to perform.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for independently organizing and implementing the administrative support, and serving as a staff assistant in gathering, analyzing and reporting information and projects requiring more discretionary and evaluative judgments. </li><li>Maintain, process, file, and track essential paper and electronic records. </li><li>Perform moderate to complex duties, judgment and scope in analyzing EMS accounts and reports, billings, and troubleshooting problem areas. </li><li>Keeping management/supervision informed of EMS Billing /coding problem areas to ensure constant revenue generation. </li><li>Maintain high accuracy rate in data entry and attention to details when scanning documentation. </li><li>Process outgoing regular postage and certified mail.  </li><li>Completing work as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Graduation with an Associate's Degree with at least one (1) years of clerical experience is required.The candidate selected must undergo and pass a drug screening test prior to employment.</p>
