<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Plans, organizes, facilitates, trains, evaluates, supervises and exercises leadership of efficient and effective utilization of Quality Assurance personnel, equipment, and material resources. Assists in the development, updating and on-going implementation of the department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Maintains personnel, production, quality, and safety requirements.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Supervises daily activities of Quality Control inspectors and other hourly department personnel including scheduling of personnel. </li><li>Routinely reviews quality control and other departmental records to verify accuracy and ensure timely recording of information and data processing and including, as necessary, taking any necessary and appropriate action. </li><li>Assists in supporting document management system (DMS) including writing, updating, and routing procedures, developing training material based on procedures and needs, and supporting various departments in the use of the DMS. </li><li>Prepares reports on daily production and quality-related issues, including AQL inspections, off quality product, and audits. </li><li>Participating member of the audit team. </li><li>Provides assistance for daily problems solving issues. </li><li>Provides employee training on-the-job safety training, equipment operation training and work instructions as required to support department objectives and standards. </li><li>Assists in training of production personnel. </li><li>Assists in complaint investigations and follow up of corrective actions and effectiveness checks. </li><li>Maintains employee interface by means of oral and written communications to insure support of company guidelines, standards, and protocols. </li><li>If applicable, advises management of required changes to department's operating procedures and practices to insure improvement of department standards. </li><li>Complies and ensures compliance with all personnel, safety, and GMP policies and procedures and implements appropriate and timely disciplinary measures in the event of non-compliance. </li><li>Assists in safety investigations and corrective action follow-up. </li><li>Performs special projects or assignments as directed by Quality Manager. </li></ul> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>English proficient (speak, write and read)</p> <p>Proficient with basic math and statistical operations.</p> <p>Ability to lead, train and motivate employees in a wide range of applications.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form with all levels of the organization.</p> <p>Detail oriented and organized.</p> <p>Has a Quality tools / auditing / ISO 9001 (or BRC) background</p> <p>Excellent color perception and color differentiation.</p> <p>Computer competent (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</p> <p>Ability to work in and promote team environment</p> <p>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>PAST EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE</p> <p>(Specify minimum desired time of past job experience) 3 - 4 years recent experience in a supervisory or senior lead position in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in Injection Molding, tube or container Decorating or Printing manufacturing industries, preferably in plastics industry or similar environment.</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>Two-year college or technical degree; or high School degree or GED certificate plus minimum 5 - 7 years of recent applicable supervisory experience. Preferred: ASQ Certification - CQE, CQA, CSSGB, or CQT</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Occasional bending and reaching </li><li>Standing and/or walking for long periods of time </li><li>Lifting up to 35 pounds repeatedly </li></ul> <p>Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. No lifting above the shoulders</p>
