<p>The Audio Engineer B will provide audio support for performances for the Grand Ole Opry and other events at the Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, and with Opry Entertainment Group.</p> <ul> <li>Plan, set up, and operate audio equipment and systems for live and taped productions, recordings, and other audio needs of the Grand Ole Opry, Circle Television, and other clients. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of all professional audio equipment, network protocols, routing, and all processing and recording devices. </li><li>Operate all audio-related equipment, including house-owned backline. </li><li>Fulfill audio support needs for musicians, in-house audience, and audio distribution, including radio, television, and other internet-based listeners. </li><li>Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment. </li><li>Select alternate equipment and systems routing to work around failures occurring during production. </li><li>May interface with producers, clients, and talent as to their needs, making appropriate recommendations to create the desired sound. </li><li>Maintain awareness of music structures and arrangements, including current technologies. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>5+ years experience as an Audio Engineer </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of professional audio systems and equipment </li><li>Basic knowledge of music, acoustics, and electronics </li><li>Ability to interface with management and clients </li></ul> <p>Licenses / Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Forklift certification </li></ul> <p>This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine,</p> <p>amphetamines, and opiates).</p>
