<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Clanton is growing! We are adding a full-time Engineering position to our team and are open to considering candidates a wide range of experience, with commensurate compensation and responsibility. This position involves designing power and lighting systems for buildings, infrastructure, and public spaces to support our Architecture + Planning & Policy and Transportation + Urban Design studios.</p> <p>CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS</p> <p>If you are passionate about designing safe and beautiful lighting and electrical systems and are eager to grow in a trusting, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment, this is the position for you! You are the perfect candidate if you are self-motivated and are comfortable supporting multiple projects simultaneously.</p> <p>PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Electrical System Design - Develop electrical system layouts, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, conduit and wiring sizing, grounding, bonding, and protection. </li><li>Lighting Design & Analysis - Design and analyze interior and exterior lighting systems, applies IES standards, and prepares lighting calculations. </li><li>Power & Controls Engineering - Design power distribution, lighting control systems, and emergency egress solutions; integrates control sequences. </li><li>Technical Documentation & Specifications - Prepare and review electrical and lighting specifications, product submittals, and construction documents. </li><li>Project Coordination & Integration - Interpret engineering drawings, collaborate with architects and engineers, and ensure seamless integration of lighting and electrical systems into broader project goals </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering for Buildings, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or other related engineering degree </li><li>Minimum three (3) years of building and/or transportation lighting engineering </li><li>Understanding of key codes & standards (ASHRAE, NEC, LEED, IECC, CDOT, etc.) </li><li>Proficiency in lighting software such as AGI32 </li><li>Proficiency in electrical engineering software such as EZ Power and Revit Electrical </li><li>Professional written and verbal communication skills, and active listening skills </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS AND CREDENTIALS</p> <ul> <li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Colorado plus ideally additional states (UT, CA, NM, AZ, WY) </li><li>Project Management experience and training, ideally PMP certified </li><li>Team leadership and resource management experience </li><li>Effective client communication and relationship development </li></ul>
