Whether you aspire to be a leader or a technical expert, this position will set you up for success in the future.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <p>The Capital Project Buyer will be responsible for performing work related to planning and organizing capital projects related to manufacturing and infrastructure projects. Duties include working on new projects in coordination with other departments, helping to develop scope and budget, creating RFQs, creating and submitting CARs, negotiating, ensuring legal compliance and contract review, coordinating manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities, and performing updates on general design standards. Work is performed with general direction, working from broad goals and policies.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Negotiations </li><li>Training </li><li>Legal Review </li><li>Project management </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the equipment sourcing decisions based on pre-determined criteria </li><li>Negotiate cost, terms, and legal/risk mitigation </li><li>Ensure compliance with legal terms and exercise settlement rights due to contract breaches </li><li>Qualify and source equipment suppliers </li><li>Assist with supplier selection and negotiation for facility services </li><li>Qualify suppliers and perform supplier audits </li><li>Track and report cost and contract terms negotiations </li><li>Conduct training for other departments in negotiation tactics </li><li>Cut POs in XA and SAP </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results </li><li>An excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing is essential, and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of audiences. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and accuracy. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment, including strong transaction and negotiation skills. </li><li>Professional project management skills. </li><li>High negotiating, collaboration, and communication skills. </li><li>Must be comfortable in a matrixed organization with a variety of stakeholders and the ability to work well in a team environment. </li><li>Must be highly self-motivated and take the initiative to achieve business goals. </li><li>Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field </li><li>Some travel (20%+) will be required.
