<p>THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN</p> <p>Basic Job Purpose:</p> <p>The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for complex metal fabrication projects, including machined parts, assemblies, and weldments. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, engineering drawings, and project scope. The Senior Estimator will collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to support business growth and ensure profitability.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for fabrication, machining, and assembly work. </li><li>Break down complex assemblies into individual cost elements-material, labor, machine time, subcontracting, and overhead. </li><li>Generate cost data and supporting documentation in compliance with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements. </li><li>Prepare compliant cost breakdowns, pricing narratives, and supporting data for government and prime contractor submissions. </li><li>Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Program Management to validate assumptions and optimize manufacturing approaches. </li><li>Utilize estimating and ERP tools such as Paperless Parts and Infor Syteline to generate, track, and manage estimate data. </li><li>Provide feedback and insight into pricing strategy and competitiveness based on market conditions and historical data. </li><li>Identify potential project risks, cost drivers, and value engineering opportunities. </li><li>Participate in proposal reviews and pricing audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. </li><li>Mentor and support estimators, sharing best practices for cost modeling, process analysis, and quoting methodology. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement in estimating and data management. </li></ul>
