<p>Ice Machine Installer & Service Technician</p> <p>Chicago, IL</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Ice Town is looking for an Ice Machine Installer & Service Technician. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing ice machine equipment at customer locations. Our technicians also perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and respond to emergency service calls for equipment, including reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Install, Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Commercial Ice Machines </li><li>Treat customers and employees with respect, courtesy and professionalism </li><li>Complete service calls on time </li><li>Communicate effectively with customers, manager, dispatchers, and sales </li><li>Participate in a normal rotation of after-hours and weekend on-call schedule </li><li>Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts </li><li>Maintain Service Vehicle </li><li>Order Parts and Complete Required Paperwork </li><li>Attend Training Sessions </li><li>Other Duties as Assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous field experience working with Scotsman & Manitowoc Ice Machines, or with a recent degree from a technical HVAC school (or related military) experience </li><li>Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills </li><li>Extremely strong customer communication skills </li><li>100% dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized </li><li>Maintain a good personal appearance </li><li>Successful completion of drug screen and criminal background screening </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li><li>Driving record must align with our safety standards </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Commercial Ice Machines </li><li>Experience with Scotsman & Manitowoc Ice Machines or a willingness to learn commercial Ice Machine Repairs & Installation. </li><li>CFESA certification and related Training </li><li>EPA Universal Certification </li><li>Computer literate </li></ul> <p>Benefits of Joining Our Team</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Hourly Rates and Overtime Pay </li><li>Company Vehicle </li><li>Company Cell Phone/Tablet </li><li>Medical and Dental Benefits </li><li>Life Insurance </li><li>PTO </li><li>401k & Company Match </li><li>Technical Training </li><li>Initial issue of Service Uniforms </li><li>Stable Customer Base and Consistent Work </li><li>$18-$33 based on experience </li></ul> <p>About Ice Town</p> <p>Since 1985 Ice Town has specialized in leasing, servicing & maintaining ice-making equipment servicing all of metropolitan Chicago and the surrounding suburban Illinois communities, including Northwest Indiana, Southern Wisconsin, and more.
