<p>Clackamas Community College (CCC) Learning Center is establishing a Tutor applicant pool for the course: Introduction to Welding in Spanish student tutors needs for the term. This position may work up to 19.5 hours/week and is a grant funded position.</p> <p>We welcome applicants who bring a diversity of identity, culture, experience, perspective, and thought. To learn more about CCC visit Leadership, Vision and Initiatives.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <p>Tutors provide one-to-one and small group tutoring to students in their subject area. In addition to tutoring, tutors are expected to maintain orderliness and decorum in their tutoring areas.</p> <p>Auxiliary Job Functions:</p> <p>May provide assistance to other department personnel as workload and staffing levels dictate. Maintain proficiency by attending training and meetings, reading materials, and meeting with others in area of responsibility. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Students need to be enrolled at CCC in at least 1 credits (enrollment requirement waived in summer term). </li><li>Successful demonstration of competency in Welding for which they will be tutoring. </li><li>Spanish bilingual </li><li>Completion of appropriate classes (as determined by CCC department chair of that subject area) with preferably an A. </li><li>Recommended for this position by a faculty member in the appropriate subject area </li></ul> <p>The physical demands listed below represent those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Physical Demands of the Position:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>Supervision of others is not a typical function assigned to this position.
