The national honor recognizes the top diverse healthcare executives and organizations influencing public policy, care delivery, and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in their organizations and the industry.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The fundamental purpose of the position is to provide the Administrative Fellow with practical experience through direct exposure to and active participation in a variety of administrative activities in preparation for leadership opportunities within the Children's system. This position exposes the fellow to hospital, clinic, and administrative operations in a pediatric health care delivery system. The role enables fellows to apply their fundamental knowledge and skills acquired in finance, strategic management, operations management, and teamwork in a working environment with direct access to a mentor for assistance as needed.</p> <p>Additional Fellowship Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Help set goals and objectives that meet the needs of both the individual and the organization. </li><li>Develop and participate in regular status updates on projects as assigned. </li><li>Participate in and lead various strategic projects as assigned. </li><li>Perform self-evaluations on progress and determine needs assessment. </li><li>Facilitate a meeting with preceptors on a regular basis. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li><li>Candidates must be a graduate student of an accredited Master of Health care Administration program. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Master in Healthcare Administration Program </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years prior healthcare experience is preferred. </li><li>A desire to work in a Pediatric environment is a plus. </li><li>Previous experience in performance improvement, driving & developing business opportunities, and Project Management. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Effective verbal and written communication. </li><li>Analytical skills necessary to access facts and develop recommendations. </li><li>Interpersonal and communication skills required to work with all levels of the health care organization. </li><li>Ability to manage the completion of tasks. </li><li>Highly motivated individual. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. </li><li>Ability to work independently at times. </li><li>Ability to understand limitations and request assistance. </li><li>Experience in development of business plans and project implementation. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Please click here to view the Physical Demands</p> <p>The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.</p> <p>In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
