<p>Overview</p> <p>The Information Technology (IT) Procurement department seeks a qualified individual to join the team who will be responsible for all compliance-related matters within the department. This position requires interface with suppliers and end-users and all levels of management within the company's Information Technology, Cyber Security, Materials Management, Finance, Legal, and Contracts organizations. This is an on-site position located in Groton, CT.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Review and analyze new regulations that may impact the department's procurement of IT-related hardware and software </li><li>Keep current on new compliance trends and best practices </li><li>Develop contract terms and conditions with favorable terms and mitigate risk exposure while aligning with the company's policies </li><li>Review and negotiate supplier exceptions </li><li>Track the status of contract lifecycle </li><li>Provide guidance and support to management, buyers, and end-users on all aspects of compliance-related matters </li><li>Review suppliers to ensure the company can conduct business with them </li><li>Ad-hoc projects as may be requested by management from time to time </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Minimum 2 years of legal related experience </li><li>Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Contract negotiation and administration experience </li><li>Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other import/export regulations </li><li>Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) </li><li>Knowledge of data security and privacy laws and regulations </li><li>Familiarity with IT-related hardware and various types of software contracting </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of management </li><li>Ability to handle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Ability to analyze, think critically, identify compliance risks, and determine practical solutions to compliance issues quickly and efficiently </li><li>Ability to complete all assigned tasks and meet established deadlines </li><li>Maintain high ethical standards and act with integrity </li><li>Experience prioritizing and independently managing projects </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially track changes feature) </li><li>Willingness to learn and ability to conduct online research of laws and regulations </li><li>Proficient verbal and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Inside</p>
