<p>Overview</p> <p>Technician-Behavioral Health</p> <p>Job Code: 22190</p> <p>FLSA Status</p> <p>Job Family: BEHAVIORAL</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Assists the licensed nursing staff in the delivery of quality patient care. Provides direct patient care, monitors patient behavior, promotes a therapeutic environment and communicates changes in patient's condition to charge nurse. This position is under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Onboards new Psychiatric Technicians.</p> <p>Validate skills and provides leadership to Psychiatric Technicians.</p> <p>Participates in and monitor Performance Improvement.</p> <p>Provides and/or assists in direct patient care under the supervision of the appropriate staff member.</p> <p>Assists with the admission process of all patients.</p> <p>Provides/Promotes a safe therapeutic environment.</p> <p>Maintains a clean and wholesome atmosphere for patients.</p> <p>Particpates in ongoing education.</p> <p>Facilitates and serves as group leader as assigned.</p> <p>Completes assigned goals.</p> <p>Specifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Minimum Required: 2 years as mental health worker, or 1 year in the department</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Minimum Required: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
