This position assists with preparing and validating client invoices, maintaining client accounts, and reviewing employee time. This position will report to the Time & Billing Supervisor with oversight from the Assistant Controller.</p> <p>The firm has one available position in either Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Dover, OH; Long Beach, CA; or Portland, OR. Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accuracy of client account data within the ERP accounting system. </li><li>Review employee and partner timesheets for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm policies. </li><li>Review client invoices for accuracy and distribute monthly invoices through mail and email. </li><li>Process time and billing adjustments. </li><li>Monitoring and responding to internal and external inquiries in the support queue related to time entry, billing questions, and client account updates. </li><li>Create and process ad hoc invoices. </li><li>Process client credit card refunds. Download and report on client confirmation and credit card transactions. </li><li>Follow-up on client accounts that have non-deliverable addresses. </li><li>Prepare journal entries for accounts receivable adjustments, including payment transfers, client refunds, and write-offs. </li><li>Produce ad hoc reports related to time and billing. </li><li>Additional ad hoc duties and projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong computer skills, including solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload. </li><li>Sound understanding of financial concepts. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Associate degree or college level coursework, preferably in accounting or finance, plus 1-3 years of related billing, accounts receivable or accounts payable experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting and prior experience working in a professional services firm.</p> <p>Why work with us?</p> <p>Novogradac is committed to fostering a welcoming workplace where all employees feel valued and empowered to grow.
