Provides nursing coverage for all areas when need arises; assists with direct patient care designated as RN responsibilities; assists research faculty and residents in the development/implementation of research protocols. Precepts new clinical based employees during orientation process and completes and tracks competencies. Implements developed patient education and PI protocols. Completes Performance Appraisals yearly on the clinical based employees.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Formal Education Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) </li><li>Applicants with an Associate's degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment </li><li>Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) </li><li>Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio </li></ul> <p>Experience & Training Required:</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years current professional nursing experience to include experience in an ambulatory care setting or equivalent. </li><li>One (1) year experience in patient education, pediatric and obstetrical care preferred </li></ul> <p>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong experiential base for clinical skills with IV's, med port access, 12 lead EKGs, patient assessment skill </li><li>Ability to acquire clinical knowledge and skill in pediatric immunizations and obstetric care through classes and/or online training within six months of hire </li><li>Ability to interact with physicians, patients, vendors, and others </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals and encouraging fellow team member </li><li>Knowledge and experience in computerized data systems (i.e. Clinical Data Repository, On line reports) spreadsheets, and word processing (MS office preferred) </li></ul> <p>Population Specific Competency:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity </li></ul> <p>Level of Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>$37.40/hr - $56.11/hr</p> <p>The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
