<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Regional Alumni Relations Coordinator will advance the mission, strategic goals and priorities of the RCA Alumni Relations program through the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of constituent activities, programs, events and meetings in RCA Devon and Bracebridge Hall residential locations. These measured efforts will enhance RCA's success in creating affinity, reciprocity and referral with alumni, families, patients, and friends to strengthen life-changing relationships, as well as enhancing the recovery experience so alumni can live life to its fullest and stay committed to recovery.</p> <p>The Regional Alumni Relations Coordinator will create, manage, attend, and implement programs, activities, meetings, and events in Chester, Delaware, Dover and Chesapeake County Chapter regions; assist in the attraction and establishment of outside meetings in RCA Devon and Bracebridge Hall community meeting spaces; collect Podium reviews; create and develop vibrant neighborhood-based regional alumni chapters that provide alumni, families, patients, and friends with the inspiration, support and resources they need to succeed in long-term recovery. This position will also represent Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association at community events, trainings, and gatherings as necessary.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Introduces the Alumni Association to individuals and families when they enter RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall for treatment actively utilizing in-person presentations using all available resources, including alumni presenters, a minimum of once -a-week at each location. </li><li>Conducts one-on-one meetings with patients when requested at RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall. </li><li>Exhibits Alumni Association info during lunch and supper minimum of x1 per week and manages Alumni Association info displays at RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall. </li><li>Starts and conducts weekly Alumni Association new patient welcome lunches x1 per week at RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall. </li><li>Starts and conducts weekly facilitated Parent and Loved One innovative support meeting group at RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall. </li><li>Makes well-being check calls to discharged RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall alumni on prescribed cadence. </li><li>Provides staff support to regional alumni association chapters in Chester, Delaware, Dover and Chesapeake County and assist regional alumni volunteers in implementing programs in accordance with model chapter program outlined in the Alumni Association Chapter guide. </li><li>Participates in the promotion, attraction, and implementation of community 12-step and recovery-centric meetings into RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall community space. </li><li>Design and execute signature events for RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall (ex. Alumni & Family Weekend, Weekly Alumni Meetings, patient Healthy Distraction Series, etc....) and Council of Chairs meetings throughout the year. </li><li>Manage alumni to patient connections (SAMS program), alumni to alumni connections (RAMS program), for RCA Devon and RCA Bracebridge Hall. </li><li>Assist in the development of support and training materials/programs for regional alumni, family and community volunteers. </li><li>Maintains regular communication with alumni through a variety of channels. </li><li>Develop innovative and interactive volunteer information and training programs to create a seamless and effective referral system (alumni and family ambassadors). </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree required in the Social Work, Public Administration, Higher Education Administration, Human Services or Social Services field. At least 1-3 years' experience in volunteer management, program administration, special events, or related field. Long-term recovery preferred. An equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered.</p> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience building formal, informal, and fostering professional relationships within, across, and external to organizational boundaries. </li><li>Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to set priorities and manage several projects at once with minimal supervision. </li><li>Possesses an ability to motivate and work with volunteers and diverse constituencies. </li><li>Must be well organized, creative, and able to "think outside the box." </li><li>Must be able to use Microsoft Windows software (Office, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), social media and mobile technology. </li><li>Familiar with/ability to learn Salesforce, CVENT, EZ Texting. </li><li>Demonstrated verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines is a must. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment with diverse groups of providers, staff, alumni, and families a must. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment: May work in a variety of environments including professional offices, event spaces, treatment or out-patient facilities. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.</p> <p>Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.</p> <p>Travel: Local, out-of-the-area and overnight travel will be required. Must be flexible, willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and travel by air, car, train or boat as needed.
