<p>Auditor I</p> <p>The Auditor I is responsible for work on various audit projects to contribute to the completion of the department's compliance, operational and tech audit plans, focused on customer experience and the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. Applicants who have a family member employed by Clayton (or other relationship presenting a conflict of interest) may not be considered.</p> <p>Auditor I Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, general business, or equivalent experience. </li><li>0-3 years of related work experience in professional compliance, technology, or operational auditing in a related industry a plus. </li><li>CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, CMCP, or other audit certifications, or working toward certifications, a plus but not required. </li></ul> <p>Auditor I Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Under the supervision of a project lead, serve as a participating auditor for various audit, advisory assignments, and special projects across Clayton's vertically integrated housing company by: </li><li>Completing assigned planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities </li><li>Preparing project status reports and following up on outstanding project deliverables. </li><li>Participating in conversations with the stakeholders and the project lead to develop recommendations and action plans. </li><li>Conducting follow-up testing for validation of corrective actions submitted to close opportunities for improvement. </li><li>Participating in data analytics and risk assessment brainstorming. </li><li>Performing continuous monitoring transaction research. </li><li>Develop subject matter expertise in Company operations and auditing skillset in planning, testing, work paper development, and report writing. </li><li>Develop a solid understanding of the business strategies and operations for the specific area or process under review. </li><li>Engage with business partners to nurture strong relationships and improve understanding of business processes </li></ul> <p>Auditor I Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Office 365 applications including Excel and Word. SQL experience a plus. </li><li>Collaborative, practical approach to interactions with business partners. </li><li>Ability to conduct independent research and apply the information learned to tasks. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management and staff.
