<p>Tesla is looking to hire a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the analysis and development of potting and dispense processes for our cutting-edge battery products. In this role you will drive technological advancement in this discipline as part of a small, specialized team. Battery development is at the heart of our company, and this is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the central challenges with electric vehicles - battery cost and performance. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects.</p> <ul> <li>Investigate candidate potting and dispense process strategies for new high voltage battery products </li><li>Down-select applied dispense methods and technologies </li><li>Provide potting and dispense Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to product designers </li><li>Validate and optimize processes from early prototype builds through full volume production </li><li>Drive proof-of-concept to green light new and novel methods, technologies, and suppliers </li><li>Evolve the potting and dispense knowledge base through standards and benchmarking </li><li>3+ years of engineering or equivalent relevant experience </li><li>Experience developing and implementing one of more dispense processes and equipment in high-volume production (expansion potting, sealants, form-in-place gaskets, structural adhesives, other - both low and high viscosity as well as single and multiple components) </li><li>Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) </li><li>Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials, or equivalent experience </li></ul>
