<p>Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on Saturday and Sunday</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Assist supervisors with staff training, direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards </li><li>Receive linen / towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventories </li><li>Maintain a working process to ensure maximum productivity </li><li>Organize the laundry room, maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenance </li><li>Ensure hotel landings are stocked at the beginning of each work day </li><li>Ensure proper usage of laundry chemicals </li><li>Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel room </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Knowledge and Certification- Required:</p> <ul> <li>1-year laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotel </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Certification- Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Previous lead experience in a similar position </li></ul> <p>Skills- Required:</p> <ul> <li>Accurate and detail-oriented </li><li>Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities </li><li>Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows </li><li>Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Abilities- Required:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressure </li><li>Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene </li><li>Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage </li><li>Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner </li><li>Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice </li></ul>
