<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Supervisor directs all aspects of the statewide Youth Recovery CT (YRCT) initiative to meet the project goals and the expectations of the funder in collaboration with DCF and department leadership. The Supervisor builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to SMART Recovery national staff, YRCT grantees and an array of youth serving organizations across the state. The Supervisor engages in activities to elevate awareness of the initiative statewide by maintaining an active web and social media presence as well as doing public presentations. This position manages staff ensuring optimum performance and maintains procedures for operating efficiently and effectively. This position is active in the Recovery community and related efforts statewide.</p> <p>Salaried: $57,000</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>BA/BS degree required. Progressively responsible experience with demonstrated competence in project coordination, excellent communication, time management and leadership skills in a related field required. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. Knowledge of youth substance use, recovery supports, SMART Recovery and best practices related to the project required. Expertise in social media, health promotion and marketing required. This includes developing marketing and promotional materials, presenting the initiative at conferences and other events, and actively participating in committees and projects around the state.</p> <p>Maintains and builds the YRCT network by managing the mini-grant program, maintaining engagement of existing grantees and soliciting applications from new entities to facilitate SMART Recovery groups.</p> <p>With assistance from leadership, maintains accountability for the achievement of program(s) goals and staff compliance with organizational goals and deadlines (e.g., certifications, training, standards).</p> <p>Supervises and mentors staff to achieve goals, perform to the best of their ability, and comply with agency and program policies and expectations.</p> <p>Manages daily team operations; provides feedback to staff, supervisor and funders; facilitates staff meetings and acts as a link between employees and senior management.</p> <p>Mitigates team conflict and communication problems. Sets and manages expectations.</p> <p>Conducts effective performance evaluations, sets goals and objectives, and monitors performance.</p> <p>Identifies and suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. With guidance and support from senior management, implements change when possible to maximize operating efficiency.</p> <p>With assistance from senior management manages all aspects of contracted prevention, recovery and training coordination services while maintaining positive relationships with program funders.</p> <p>Tracks expenses and with senior management support monitors program budgets.</p> <p>Manages program data collection systems and ensures timely reporting of process and outcome data to funders.</p> <p>With assistance from senior management, develops and implements a strategic plan for assigned prevention, recovery and training coordination services.</p> <p>With assistance from senior management provides leadership in the ongoing design and growth of prevention, recovery and training coordination programs.</p> <p>Maintains a current knowledge of best practices and research related to recovery and prevention topics.</p> <p>Develops and maintains holistic knowledge of populations being served including cultural, ethnic, sexual orientation, gender differences, and differing abilities.</p> <p>Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.</p>
