<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking an AP Specialist in Chesterfield, MO.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>AP Specialist will work with internal Business Transformation team, banking partners and other members of the accounting department in streamlining accounts payable processes </li><li>Work with sites and accounting teams to ensure consistent application of internal policies and procedures throughout the procurement and payment process </li><li>Review, challenge and enter vendor invoices for payment as applicable </li><li>Correspond with vendors as needed and respond to inquiries on a timely basis </li><li>Investigate outstanding check matters and issue stop-payments as needed </li><li>Reconcile accounts payable transactions </li><li>As an AP Specialist, you will assist with month-end close procedures, knowledge of month end accrual process </li><li>Provide supporting documentation for annual financial statement audits and bank borrowing base submissions </li><li>Assist with year-end vendor 1099 reporting and distribution </li><li>Maintain organized electronic vendor files and perform other general office duties as needed* Accounts payable background, 1 to 3 years of relevant experience </li><li>Self-starter with drive to improve processes and gain efficiencies through the use of technology and other available tools </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines </li><li>IQMS or Oracle experience a plus </li></ul>
