We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <ul> <li>Oversees weekly payroll data entry operations and payroll preparation for Patient Care Services (PCS) units </li><li>Onboards, educates/trains, and supervises Timekeeping Specialists </li><li>Serves as MGH site lead for scheduling and payroll system </li><li>Audits scheduling and payroll practices across PCS to ensure adherence to policies </li><li>Facilitates operations, scheduling and pay policies, and UKG mechanics </li><li>Supports PCS leaders and schedulers/timekeepers by serving as an expert in pay and scheduling policies, and UKG mechanics. Responsible for optimizing utilization of UKG system. </li><li>Educates department leaders and schedulers/timekeepers on best practices for scheduling and payroll. Recommends changes in practice to ensure consistency. </li><li>Evaluates processes, technologies/applications for more efficient scheduling. Implements scheduling process improvements. </li><li>Collaborates with MGB Human Resources (HR) team on nursing pay policies and practices. </li><li>Collaborates with MGB Digital team and advises on interfaces between HR and payroll systems </li><li>Collaborates with MGB sites on scheduling and payroll practices. Identifies opportunities for improvement. </li><li>Onsite position, including regular visits to patient care units </li></ul> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible for overseeing the administration and optimization of scheduling and timekeeping processes and systems, supporting department operations. This position involves managing the timekeeping team, overseeing payroll preparation for the department, ensuring compliance with policies, supporting system upgrades, and enhancing the efficiency of scheduling and timekeeping operations.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care? No</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Oversee scheduling and payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely pay for department employees. </li><li>Lead the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the department's scheduling and timekeeping processes and systems. </li><li>Ensure accurate application of scheduling and timekeeping policies. </li><li>Supervise and mentor the department timekeeping team, providing guidance on payroll processing, policy interpretation, compliance, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Work with unit leadership to identify potential scheduling improvement processes. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements to streamline scheduling and timekeeping operations. </li><li>Prepare and submit analyses and reports to operational leaders and management. </li><li>Collaborate with HR and Digital departments to ensure seamless integration between timekeeping systems and other organizational systems. </li><li>Collaborate with Digital and other departmental timekeeping stakeholders to align system functionality with department policies and optimize user functionality. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education Associate's Degree Finance required or Associate's Degree Human Resources Management required or Bachelor's Degree Finance preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
