<p>Material Handler / Night Shift</p> <p>Metals USA has an immediate opening for a Material Handler / Night Shift in our Muskogee, OK facility. The Material Handler / Night Shift, under limited supervision, performs duties related to the storage and movement of inventory or equipment; reports to Group Leader /Shift Supervisor.</p> <p>Starting $18/hour and $3 shift differential</p> <ul> <li>Receives, places/returns items into stock inventory locations </li><li>Tags materials for proper identification </li><li>Pulls and assembles customer orders in order of delivery </li><li>Operates yard truck for the purpose of loading and unloading trailers </li><li>Operates cranes to load/unload trailers </li><li>Operates forklift (5k or 10k) to load/unload trailers </li><li>Securing loaded material onto truck and load and unload materials </li><li>Completes and documents production and quality paperwork; follow shop system data collection procedures. </li><li>Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries. </li><li>Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a Material Handler. </li></ul> <p>Metals USA offers a competitive starting salary and benefits plus upward mobility professional growth.</p> <p>Metals USA provides equal employment & affirmative action opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status or disability.</p> <p>Metals USA is committed to protecting our employees by creating and maintaining a workplace free of substance abuse.</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED </li><li>Basic arithmetic skills </li><li>Ability to read measuring tapes </li><li>Industrial warehouse experience preferred </li><li>Experience working with heavy equipment preferred </li><li>Overhead Crane/forklift experience preferred </li><li>Must pass pre-employment drug screen </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>In a typical workday, employee is standing, walking, seeing, hearing, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, shoving, lifting, driving (yard truck or forklift), climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking. Must be capable of lifting wt. up to forty (40) lbs. with or without lifting devices.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Employee will work in an open warehouse the majority (98%) of the time and will be exposed to some or all of the following working conditions: extreme heat and cold, noise, vibration, oils and atmospheric conditions such as dust, fumes and metallic particles. Employee will be exposed to the hazards of working with heavy machinery. Employee is required to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves and safety boots. The Company furnishes initial hard hat, gloves and safety glasses. The employee furnishes safety boots at own expense.</p>
