The following opportunity is for our U.S. team.</p> <p>The opportunity</p> <p>We currently have an opportunity for a Events Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team based in our New York City, NY office on a hybrid schedule. The Events Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all event planning efforts and duties on behalf of the US Intact Insurance Specialty Group. This includes event planning and coordination, broker and marketing communications, and all other event marketing-related tasks required to support the continued growth of the global specialty lines of business. This is an ideal role for someone who views events as a strategic growth lever and is excited to build scalable, repeatable experiential marketing programs. Some of the Event Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Event planning with a focus on conferences and events. Events may include: internal meetings and retreats, premier broker partner events, regional marketing events, sponsored events, and industry conferences. </li><li>Develop, promote, and execute strategic events to create memorable experiences, drive brand awareness, and lead generation. </li><li>Define event goals, target audience, and marketing strategies to align with business objectives. </li><li>Translate event strategy into detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high quality and on-brand execution. </li><li>Manage vendors, venues, speakers, logistics, and budgets with operational rigor and efficiency. </li><li>Plan and promote events via marketing channels, liaising with Marketing & Communications colleagues. </li><li>Work closely with senior team members to ensure smooth execution of events and alignment with business goals. </li><li>Identify and define additional event marketing opportunities for the organization's existing and potential markets. </li></ul> <p>The expertise you bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>6-8 years of experience in event planning or hospitality field </li><li>Relevant insurance or financial services industry experience </li><li>Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work non-traditional hours as needed. </li><li>Must have proper documents for traveling within the US (Real ID or Passport) </li><li>Ability to obtain a passport in the future for international travel </li><li>TSA Precheck is a plus </li></ul> <p>Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $69,000 - $96,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $86,000 - $101,000.
