Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.</p> <p>The Orthopedic Surgical Center of the North Shore is a multispecialty, accredited ambulatory surgical facility specializing in outpatient orthopedic procedures, including joint replacements, as well as pain management and endoscopy services.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Responsibilities/Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs responsibilities of post-anesthesia care and conducts discharge teaching.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates readiness for patient discharge and collaborates with the anesthesiologist and surgeon in the discharge process.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates process of patient management in the surgical center.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the front office staff on intake process as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with pre-op assessment and teaching.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans and prepares for interoperative nursing care of the patient.</p> </li><li> <p>Delegates duties only to competent appropriate personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports any potential or actual adverse event as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Documents clearly and maintains the patient record.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains pleasant and open communication with patients, families, staff and physicians.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties, as assigned</p> </li></ul>
