<p>Kforce has a client in Coral Gables, FL that is seeking an Oracle Senior Database Engineer.</p> <p>Summary: These talented sources are the drivers of analyzing, designing, developing, testing, debugging, implementing, and integrating new or existing operational efficiencies into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. In this role, you will primarily work with the many different Database technologies but with a focus on Oracle and PostgreSQL. You will also be adding value by designing and developing solutions to improve and enhance our operational processes.</p> <p>Duties also include:</p> <ul> <li>Drive efficiencies by working with application vendors for issue resolution and provides technical leadership to his/her team and customers </li><li>Use your solutions-oriented approach and high work ethic, along with excellent communication and process management skills, to mentor internal customers and teammates on the Database platforms </li><li>Provides support on a rotational basis along with development activities* Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred </li><li>5+ years of experience engineering, administering and managing multiple relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) </li><li>Deep knowledge in installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise Database Technology environments such as Oracle and PostgreSQL in an on premise environment </li><li>Extensive working knowledge of Oracle SYS views and tables necessary to support the DBs </li><li>Extensive knowledge installing, upgrading and performing Disaster Recovery efforts with Oracle DB's </li><li>Effective use of Oracle Enterpsise Manager is necessary </li><li>SQL Tuning and Database Performance Evaluation and Configuration knowledge required </li><li>Systems engineering experience, including AIX/Linux performance, memory management, I/O & Performance tuning, security, clusters and troubleshooting </li><li>Experience working directly with customers, resolving database, systems and infrastructure-related issues and also providing systems architecture leadership is required </li><li>Working knowledge of relational database internals (locking, consistency, serialization, disaster recovery) </li><li>Coding skills in at least one scripting language a must (TCL, Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.) </li><li>Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology </li><li>Experience in shell and python scripting with focus on DevOps tools, CI/CD </li><li>Significant exposure in various OS administration tasks </li><li>Analytical problem solving and the communication skills required to work in a team environment </li><li>Effective written and verbal communications </li><li>On-site 5 day a week support is required </li><li>SAP Oracle DBA experience a plus </li></ul>
