<p>Title: Accounting Adjunct Faculty</p> <p>Salary Range: $550 per credit hour</p> <p>Contract Term Length: Not Applicable</p> <p>Standard Hours: Varies</p> <p>Work Location: On-Site</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>College: Owensboro Community & Technical College</p> <p>Campus Location: Owensboro Community College</p> <p>Department: Business, Health & Public Services</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for part-time/temporary, in-person faculty teaching courses including ACC 201, ACC 202, and/or BAS 120. The assignment period is for a specific semester or bi-term. This position will report directly to the Department Head.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide in-person learner-centered instruction in the discipline. </li><li>Prepare lesson plans (as needed), plan, and carry out instructional activities in both theory and practice. </li><li>Create syllabi and set up assigned courses on the College's learning management system following college standards. </li><li>Record grades and submit reports. </li><li>Submit Student Learning Outcomes for each class at the end of the semester. </li><li>Maintenance and care for classrooms and training materials. </li><li>Complete OCTC's online learning professional development training (KES). </li><li>Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program up to date. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in accounting. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Digital learning experience and working knowledge of Blackboard (or a similar learning management system as a delivery method for classes) is preferred. </li><li>College teaching experience is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills Requested:</p> <ul> <li>Strong MS Office suites experience (Word and Outlook). </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills.
