<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Intern - Facilities Administrator will support the Facilities team in the day-to-day operations of building systems and infrastructure. This role provides hands-on exposure in facilities management, work order systems (CMMS), preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and capital project support within a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>This internship is ideal for students interested in facilities operations, maintenance management, or project coordination.</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Track and manage facility work orders, maintenance requests, and service tickets using CMMS or similar systems </li><li>Support preventative maintenance programs for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems </li><li>Maintain and update facility documentation, including SOPs, equipment records, and maintenance logs </li><li>Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for scheduled maintenance and repairs </li><li>Assist with capital project tracking, including schedules, documentation, and budget updates </li><li>Support safety inspections, compliance documentation, and facility audits </li><li>Participate in facility walkthroughs and site inspections to identify maintenance and operational needs </li><li>Track inventory of facility supplies, spare parts, and equipment </li><li>Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations related to facility operations and projects </li><li>Provide general administrative and operational support to the Facilities team </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Pursuing or completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field </li><li>Exposure to CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or project tracking tools preferred </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Open to currently enrolled college students </li></ul> <p>Skills & Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking/reporting tools </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills </li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment </li><li>Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced setting </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Internship Duration: 10-14 weeks </li></ul> <p>At Coherent, interns are valued contributors from day one. You will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in networking events, team-building activities, and professional development opportunities across the organization.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings. </li><li>Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. </li><li>Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. </li><li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. </li></ul> <p>Safety Requirements</p> <p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
