<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Campus Title: Adjunct Pool, Composition & Communication</p> <p>Budget Title: Adjunct</p> <p>Unit: UUP; view our generous state benefits package here!</p> <p>Salary Range: $4,500 per 3-credit course</p> <p>Duration: Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 Semesters</p> <p>Brief Description of Duties:</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville seeks candidates for adjunct faculty to teach Composition/Communication for the following area for the Fall 2025/Spring 206 academic year on the Morrisville campus.</p> <p>Adjunct pools are open continuously and applicants are contacted/hired year-round for assignments based on college needs. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, on-line, hybrid, weekend, and/or off campus classes.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area division chairs & dean; </li><li>Helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; </li><li>Assessing student learning outcomes; </li><li>Maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in their regular teaching field; </li><li>Continuing professional development; </li><li>Utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; </li><li>Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; </li><li>Fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Have a Master's degree or higher in the Composition/Communication or a closely-related area. </li><li>Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching in the Composition/Communication at the college level preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville is committed to creating a vibrant community enriched by diverse perspectives, talents and experiences, and prohibits discrimination in employment based on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, physical capability, age, creed, sexual identity, veteran status, and economic means.
