The position focuses on the strategic acquisition of critical goods and services, cost management, and supplier relationship development in a complex capital projects environment.</p> <p>This is a Life Science project based in Denver, Colorado.</p> <p>Our values shape the way we consult, and define the people we want to join us on our journey, they are:</p> <ul> <li>Safety first - Going home safe and well </li><li>Client focus - Deliver on our promise </li><li>Integrity - Always do the right thing </li><li>Create opportunity - For our people to excel </li></ul> <p>You'll Be Responsible For:</p> <ul> <li>Directing all procurement activities for assigned capital projects, including competitive bidding, vendor communications, proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance. </li><li>Managing vendor relationships with a focus on contract details, delivery schedules, and risk mitigation for high-value or complex capital equipment and materials. </li><li>Developing, implementing, and overseeing tendering processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) for the procurement of commodities, engineered equipment, and specialty services aligned with project timelines and budgets. </li><li>Negotiating major purchase agreements, construction contracts, and framework agreements in collaboration with legal and project management teams, ensuring terms meet performance, quality, and compliance objectives. </li><li>Monitoring project procurement budgets, identify opportunities for cost savings, and report on deviations and corrective actions. </li><li>Establishing and maintaining comprehensive records and documentation for procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier communications, ensuring compliance with all corporate policies, industry regulations, and audit requirements. </li><li>Conducting ongoing market research and supplier performance evaluations to inform procurement strategy and improve supply chain resilience. </li><li>Collaborating closely with project managers, engineering, finance, and other internal stakeholders to align procurement objectives with project milestones and requirements. </li><li>Assisting in developing and delivering training for procurement processes, systems, and standards to project and procurement team members. </li><li>Supporting the continuous improvement of procurement best practices, strategic sourcing initiatives, and risk management processes. </li></ul> <p>You'll Need To Have:</p> <ul> <li>Significant procurement experience, with a proven track record in capital projects, construction, or heavy industry. </li><li>Expertise in bidding, contract negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier communications. </li><li>Strong knowledge of contract law, tendering processes, project controls, and industry best practices. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. </li><li>Proficient in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). </li><li>Fluent English required; multilingual capabilities preferred. </li><li>High level of integrity and commitment to ethical procurement standards. </li></ul> <p>This position plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of capital projects through rigorous procurement execution and collaborative vendor engagement.</p> <p>Mace North America Offers The Competitive Benefits Such As:</p> <ul> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance, including an option with a health savings account </li><li>Flexible spending accounts (healthcare, dependent care and transit and parking where applicable) </li><li>Disability insurance </li><li>Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment </li><li>401(k) plan </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Continuing education program </li><li>Professional licensure and society memberships </li></ul> <p>The estimated salary for this position is $125,000 starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.</p> <p>Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
